This is the hive stand that I constructed. Being level is very important, especially side to side. A slight tilt front to back is OK as that will aid in water runoff from the rain

These are some of the boxes in which some of our hive material arrived. We decided to buy unassembled equipment in order to save space.

These are hive body parts to be assembled. This particular company supplied the nails, but I also glued them together with Titebond III.

These are unassembled frames. These hold the wax foundation that the bees use to construct their comb which they use to store honey, pollen and raise young bees. (brood)

Here are our 2 hives installed on the hive stand. They have been painted with semi-transparent water-based deck stain to protect from the weather. These contain no bees at the time of the photo.
